Casa Vieja in Brentwood

The food and staff were very good but the fact that they add on the tip to the bill is very upsetting plus they do a surcharge if you use a card which they did not tell me. If the service is bad they can’t expect you to pay out a full tip. I would recommend them for the food but they need to get with the times and not include tip if it’s less than 6 people at a table and also do away with the surcharge for cards because they make more than enough money with the crowd they get.

Great place and delicious food! Dark interior and music just loud enough for dinner and conversations.

Only went for drinks on a Friday. Very cute place! Seems put together. Sat at the bar and had sangria pitchers. Strong Sangria and excellent bar service! Very attentive. Would go back for dinner.

Food was excellent as was the service. Music could be more soothing or conducive to pleasurable dining and not a dance club. All in all, I'll definitely dine there again.

Food was pretty good, not that great. Staff wasn’t too amiable. We had to go to the bar to get seated because no one was there to seat us at the front. Food was a little expensive.

Went there to celebrate nephew's birthday. The party room was a bit small but the service and employees made up for it many times over. Great food and everyone had a good time.

Casa Vieja is one of my favourite local spots for Spanish cuisine. The Margaritas are the best around. The shrimp ceviche is absolutely fabulous and the Colombian fare is the most authentic I've experienced outside of Manhattan. The restaurant is quiet and cozy and perfect for a quick drink and a bite at the bar if you prefer no table service. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. If you're a soccer fan, there is always soccer on one of the three tv's behind the bar. Overall, I love this quaint, dark and delicious spot. I'm sure that you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The food is good the portions are huge. Did take out food was hot & fresh when we got home.

I had the rice and beans but my meat was raw and not to mention live roaches walking around. Next time you go there keep your eyes open for some of these creatures walking around .

The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I can't wait for my next visit.

The food here is simply amazing. Great deal for the money, some of the dishes look expensive but the portions are HUGE. We've been there twice and each ordered different items each time and loved everything. My favorite so far is the Argentinian platter which has several juicy, flavorful cuts of meat and a delicious large chorizo on a sizzling platter with a side of rice and beans.

I just went there yesterday for a mofongo and it supposed to be made with green plantains and they made with sweet plantain it tasted disgusting I asked for tostones and they gave me sweet plantains as tostones I spent 40 dollars and never ate all my food because was disgusting never again I go there casa vieja definitely not a restaurant is more of a bodega you guys should be ashamed I will never recommend casa vieja to nobody food disgusting and cold oh well you took 40 from me I hope y’all enjoy it because y’all won’t be getting anything else from me

The food here is good and the setting is cool. I’ve been here more than 10 times. Drinks are not bad but the service could be a lot better and better utensils are defiantly needed. Overall their mofongo is really really good.

Great Colombian food and the steak is to speak about ! But the reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the servers , could be more attentive . I had to get someone’s attention at time to order as well as to pay the bill. The result of not being checked on regularly throughout our visit . Remember the food is great but that’s only part of the experience !

Tasty food, decent service, nice atmosphere. They will not give you separate checks, and the list is handwritten so we couldn't read ours easily. They didn't like clarifying the check for us and it took the longest time. I don't recommend going in a group. At all.

The food here is excellent I remember going to Casa Viea when it used to be called Chicago’s. The deep-fried ice cream here is out of this world.

Based on the reviews, I was looking forward to a genuine tasty Latin food experience. I was thoroughly disappointed! I took the choice of bread and butter, and got American style little mushy white bread rolls. I ordered the beef stew, which came with rice and beans and fried plantains. It all came together on a big plate. The "stew" had no broth, and the beef was little semi tough pieces. And I mean little. The rice and beans were completely average, and I could get the same quality from a frozen meal. The plantains were rock hard and tasteless. Pretty much the whole meal was bland. I did enjoy the Refajo beverage, which I've never tried before. I said yes to hot sauce, which barely had any zing to it. The service was functional, but not particularly warm and welcoming. I've been to Florida, where I've had amazing food at a Columbian restaurant. This was a rip off at almost $18 for the entree.

I order roast pork it was very dry and the drinks took a long time and they aren't that good and and very expensive although they did charge me for my meal I won't go BK there
